Playing Rules
1) Except for the first round where one person is randomly selected as the dealer, the first person to win in each subsequent round becomes the dealer for the next round. If multiple people win at the same time (multiple wins from one discard), the player below the discarder becomes the dealer for the next round.
2) Exposed Kong: When a player has three identical tiles in their hand, and another player discards a tile that is the same as the player's, the player can declare a Kong. The player who discarded the tile awards 2 points to the player who made the Kong.
3) Concealed Kong: When a player has three identical tiles in their hand and draws one of the same tiles during the game, the player can call it a concealed kong.
4) Turning Kong: After a player has made a meld (pong), during the game, if the player draws another identical melded tile, the player can call it a turning kong.
5) You cannot eat tiles; you can only pong or kong.
Yunnan Mahjong Hand Scoring:
1) All Pungs (3 points for self-draw; 4 points for discarding a winning tile)
A player's hand consists of four pairs of three cards each, except for a pair of honor cards. This type of hand is called a "paired hand".
2) Pure One Suit: 1 point (3 points for self-draw; 4 points for discarding a winning tile)
A player's winning hand consists entirely of tiles of the same suit. This hand is called a "pure suit" hand, which includes four suits: Wan, Tiao, Tong, and Zi.
3) Self-draw in Pinghu
A player's hand consists of four sets of three tiles plus a pair (the four sets can be either triplets or sequences), and they have already won. The winning hand scores 1 point per player.
4) Small Seven Pairs: 1 point (3 points for self-draw; 3+1=4 points for discarding)
A player's winning hand consists entirely of pairs of two cards, without any melds (pung or kong). This hand is called "Small Seven Pairs".
5) Ten Old Men/Ten Winds: 1 point (3 points)
If a player discards 10 consecutive honor tiles (East, South, West, North, Red Dragon, Green Dragon, White Dragon can be repeated) without them being melded or konged, they can win. This hand is called "Ten Old Men".
6) Flower on the bar: 1st round (3 points)
If a player's hand is ready to win, and the player draws a tile that is exactly the tile they need when making a kong, the player can choose to win. This situation is called "kong on a winning tile".
7) Dragon Seven Pairs; 2 points (self-draw < 6 points, discarding a winning tile 6+1=7 points)
A player's hand consists of a "Seven Pairs" hand, without having melded, konged, or drawn any cards, and has three identical cards. This hand is called a "Dragon Seven Pairs" hand.
8) A winning hand on a draw: 1 point (4 points)
When a player makes a "kong" (a set of four identical tiles), first konging one tile and then discarding another tile, and that discarded tile happens to be the tile that another player needs to declare a winning hand, this situation is called "kong on the discard".
9) Robbing the Kong: 1 point (4 points)
If a player chooses to declare a Kong (杠) and another player happens to win with that same hand, this is considered a "robbing the Kong" (抢杠). Robbing a Kong is considered as the player who was about to declare a Kong discarding a tile that allows the other player to win.
The scores for winning by discarding a tile and winning by self-draw are different. Except for a regular win, a self-draw is worth 3 points per player, while a win by discarding a tile is worth 3 + 1 = 4 points.
Except for a standard hand, other hand types are scored by the number of points; if two or more hand types appear,
For example: Pure One Suit + All Pungs (winning by discard) = 4 * 2 = 8 points, Self-draw = 3 * 2 = 6 points;
A hand consisting of all four suits, all three sets of three suits, and a self-drawn winning tile on a kong (four of a kind) equals 3 * 2 * 2 = 12 points per player.
Pure One Suit + All Pungs + Winning on a Kong = 4 * 2 * 2 = 16 points
Based on this calculation: Self-draw = 3 * 2 * 2 * 2 ~~~ Discard win = 4 * 2 * 2 * 2 ~~~ If you have a big hand, multiply by 2.
