X-shaped fish formation:
The two groups of fish at the four legs of the X are the most vulnerable, and hitting them will yield the most points, with the fish at the hind legs generally scoring more than those at the front legs. This formation makes it difficult to catch manta rays. If you really want to try, use a small cannon and fire two shots when the manta rays and small fish are not overlapping. High-powered cannons will never be effective.
Arrow-shaped fish school:
The middle part of the arrow is easier to hit. The manta ray is relatively easy to catch; if two players attack consecutively, attack when the manta ray has spread its wings for a more effective hit. If six medium-sized shells don't take it down, it's generally impossible to catch it. Don't chase its tail; unless you're lucky, you'll never catch it.
Fish-shaped formation fish school:
The scene features a circle of fish, with another circle surrounding it. When the hit rate is high, try creating a gap on the edge and shooting inwards; the hit rate is very high. Don't try this when the hit rate is low. The manta ray's upper fins overlap with the 2-point fish; to catch the manta ray, use a small cannon to attack its lower fins for an easier kill.
A school of fish with sharks at high tide:
Attacking the fish in the middle is the easiest way to catch them. Each wave of fish has a different response, so once you catch a group with a high response, keep attacking. In this scenario, the sharks are unobstructed, so if all four players attack aggressively, there's a 90% chance of catching them. Generally, the slower-swimming sharks have a higher catch rate.
7 points: Fish encircling a school of fish.
Many people don't play this scenario, but it's actually the scenario where you get the most points when it's easy to win. Fire a shot when the fish swim towards the center, and fire another shot when the school of fish scatters in your direction. Test the response. If you catch more than four fish, go all out; you can usually score over 100 points. If you only catch one fish or none, don't play anymore.
