Basic gameplay of the casual Dou Dizhu game:

Dealing: One deck of cards is used, with three cards left as the bottom cards. The rest are dealt to the three players, and the bottom cards are added to the landlord's hand.

Bidding: Bidding begins in turn according to the order of play. Each player can only bid once. Bids can be "1 point", "2 points", "3 points" or pass. The bid score is the "base score". The higher the score, the more you win or lose. After bidding, the player with the highest bid becomes the landlord. If all players choose to pass, the first player to bid will default to the lowest score.
