500 Firepaper: There are so many apps and ways to download wallpapers these days. This one primarily offers dynamic wallpapers, which are incredibly clear and high-quality. I personally enjoy downloading wallpapers from various platforms, or making my own. While they're not particularly impressive, I really enjoy them.
Official Introduction
500 Firepaper offers a live wallpaper and a live feed that displays the latest images from 500px throughout the day. You'll never have to look at that boring old wallpaper again, or search for a nice new one. Every day is different - this app will show you quality photos from around the world! The features (Popular, Editor's Choice, Fresh, etc.) and display categories are of course configurable, as are the refresh interval and image brightness. Please note that high-resolution images and animations require quite a bit of memory, so this app is clearly aimed at high-end devices. If you're a Muzei user, 500 Firepaper also presents itself as a Muzei art source. FAQ: What does the Pro purchase get me? In partnership with 500px, purchasing Pro will extend the maximum cache time from 24 hours to 7 days and also give you the option to (re)set any image from your browser history as your background (for up to 7 days). Why is there no save feature? Per 500px's API terms, it doesn't allow it. The three-finger tap to advance to the next image doesn't seem to be working. What can I do? On some devices (like the HTC One), you need to release your fingers one by one. Why can't I pause indefinitely or display an image for more than a day? Per the terms of the 500px API, apps can't keep an image around for longer than 24 hours—unless you buy the Pro version. Why does this use so much memory? High-resolution images require a lot of storage in uncompressed form, and multiple buffers are required. But don't fear; should the device require memory while the wallpaper/Daydream is invisible, the memory used by the app will be automatically released and reused. Disk usage just keeps growing. Why can't I set any limits? The built-in cache is limited to approximately 256 MB—I've never seen it cleared up before it actually reached its limit, though. Can cached images be stored somewhere else, like on my SD card? No, they can't. Do you want a balloon? No, but thanks for asking. Disclaimer: This app is completely dependent on the availability of 500px and its API. 500px may remove the API or revoke this app's API key at any time. This will cause the app to cease working. Due to the terms of 500px's API usage, the app can't cache images for more than 24 hours (unless you buy the Pro version). Therefore, if you are not connected to Wi-Fi, and either charging or having a near full battery for over a day, the app will run out of images to display. This app uses the 500px(TM) API and is not endorsed or certified by 500px or 500px Inc. All trademarks displayed in this app are property of 500px Inc.
